Leading Sustainability Advisor Named Seeder Chairman
Johnny Browaeys to bring 20+ years ofenvironmental consulting leadership to help Seeder bring rooftop solar toChina’s buildings.
Shanghai, China – June 7, 2016 – Seeder names Johnny Browaeys as the company’s Chairman of the Board. Johnny is a 13-year China veteran and an impactful international influencer in environmental solutions. In this role, Johnny will energize the team to execute on Seeder’s strategy and vision, while further expand the company’s network of partners and clients.
Johnny is a co-founder and has been an early advisor involved in all milestones during Seeder’s growth. In his 20+ years of experience in environmental consulting, he has served strategic roles with ERM, CH2M HILL and most recently with DuPont.
Seeder connects the right technical and financing solutions to make rooftop solar and energy efficiency technologies accessible for commercial and industrial buildings, in an effort to increase renewable energy penetration and reduce air pollution in China. The company has raised half a million dollars in seed funding, and has recently received the ChinaBang Start-Up of the Year Award. Seeder has built up a strong pipeline of over 10 MW of projects with Fortune 500 companies and developers, and was involved in developing one of the first major PPA projects in China with e-Shang Redwood in Tongzhou, near Beijing.
